It was a tiring experience. The bus was small, so seats were cramped and were a problem for anyone with long legs. The driver drove very fast. I think he wanted home early for dinner! Passenger experience was not great. The roundabouts in the resorts and the windy interior roads were taken at speed. Pepe, our guide, shared lots of interesting information, but it was very difficult to hear her over the interior noises of the bus - cooling fans and heaters - yes, both at the same time!
The towns and markets were very different - a positive thing. We has @ 90 minutes in both places. Plenty of time to explore, have coffee, and eat.

Review of La alacena

Stopped in here for lunch on a Monday and it was practically empty, while tourist traps around the corner were packed. We lucked out! The food was great! We got the garlic shrimp, spinach croquettes, fried cheese, and bread with sauce — all delicious! We topped it off with a flan to share. Highly recommend!

We started with a cappuccino on the terrace and ended inside the restaurant because it was raining and had great tapas! Very friendly service!

Review of Como Como 15

From the moment we arrived at the door of this restaurant, we knew it was going to be a good experience.
We arrived at midday to look through the glass door, and although the opening time was set for 12.30, the waiter and waitress welcomed us in and asked us to sit down, it was no problem for them that we were 30 minutes ahead of opening time. The lovely, really attentive and charismatic waiter showed us our table and we sat with a nice glass of white wine for about 10 minutes, he then brought us the menu which to our delight was quite short. This is always a good sign in a restaurant, when there is too much to choose from then we know there will be lack of attention to the food.
My husband chose the Humus and I the Padron Peppers as a starter which we shared. This was delicious as well as the warm nacho bread which came with it. A cut up ciabatta was also put on the table and this tasted freshly cooked to perfection.
Our main meals were the slow cooked pork and the chorizo rice with egg. They were both delicious and to follow we had the chocolate brownie and the yogurt with nuts and palm honey. This was also to die for!
Our waiter was so nice and spoke English perfectly and was extremely willing to help us. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant and we will certainly be returning there again.

Assolutamente consigliato !

The clerk Denis was absolutely polite and professional ! She introduced us the different perfumes and we had a nice talk over the history of the island. I bought Thenesor (a manly fragrance 100%) and Maresia (which is inspired to the freshness of the waves impacting the rocks). If you want to get a very special memory and product from Gran Canaria, this shop is a must !

Review of La alacena

The food was not so good, after that meal I had problems with my stomach all night ( serios one ). I don’t say I don’t recommend, but they should be more careful on food and health protocols.
