Very central hotel, friendly and helpful staff . Food plentiful but average.
Very uncomfortable sun beds that don’t have a sitting up position just hard plastic. Bedrooms have see through walls into bathroom , not great if you like privacy. Well maintained hotel and very clean also,

Review of Pomodoro

Very nice food. Good service. Dinner with a view. I had the Canarian Tapas dishes. Every one of them was cooked well, the goat was very tender, the chickpea chorizo stew was super, sardines and potatoes with mojo sauces were good. My wife had the Gnocchi with a pesto sauce, also good. Service was very good.

You will not be dissapointed. Dinner with great flavours. Service is very good. The spicy black pudding starter had a good kick. The Iberico pork was cooked perfectly with a great red wine sauce. The Iberico ham risotto very tasty.

Review of Alua Tenerife

Great breakfast buffet. The rooms are beautiful but not sound proof. Could hear the neighbours going at it. Big balconies with frail plastic chairs.
Could not enjoy the pool, there were water aerobics blasted on the speakers in french for HOURS every damn day.
Cardio machines at the gym cost an additional 20€ weekly. Also VIP services will call your room non-stop, hunt you down in the lobby and bother you whenever they see you and they do NOT have any good offers for you that you can’t get elsewhere. A bit far from the city centre as well.

Review of Loro Parque

Absolutely insane that places like this still exist and the fact you aren’t capable of booking this animal circus through Tripadvisor, because it doesn’t uphold Tripadvisors animal welfare requirements tells you everything you need to know.
No amounts of the park telling you “we’re following the law and paid experts say the animals are fine!” will even get close to wipe the bad taste from your mouth as you witness this in person.

Truly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever witnessed, a sad, sad experience for the soul.

Just perfect location, friendly staff, old buildung but very good value for money. Clean rooms and good service after all. Perfect sea view from the balcony. If you sleep lightly the sound of the sea might be a slight problem but you can always use airplugs. Perfect sunset. Recommended!

Firstly can I say that I feel a bit mean giving it 4/5, if anything it deserved 4.5/5. Let me explain.
Firstly a wonderful hotel, superb reception staff, superb waiting staff and all in all we had a wonderful time. There was never a queue for sunbeds and the pool was never busy, perfect for us. It probably isn't a place for youngsters but they have that hell hole down the road they can go to if they require loud music, drinking and whatever else goes on there ( Los Cristianos by the way ).
We had a sea view room and the views were spectacular. Lovely balcony, very comfy bed and adequate bathroom ( little tired to be fair )
The actual hotel is on a very steep hill and its a 10 minute trek down 200 or so steps until you hit the town itself, we walked back on the first night but after that we got a cab back and for only 5 euros it was worth it.
The town itself is wonderful with lots of lovely restaurants and shops plus plenty of things going on, the walk from one end to the other was always nice and hearing the sea always makes me feel happy.

So why not 5/5? Well we were booked in for bed and breakfast and no complaints on that score, lots of choice and the option of having freshly cooked bacon and omelettes. On the last night however we decided to eat at the hotel to see what the all inclusive would be like, it was extremely disappointing. Very little choice and limited veggie options. I'm just glad we ate out for 5 of the 6 nights.

Would I stay again? Yes but I wouldn't recommend all inclusive.

The only downside of the whole holiday was having to mix with the Los Cristianos crowd at the airport, my god there were some dreadful sites.

So overall I'd recommend Taoro if you want a peaceful holiday in a lovely setting.

Review of Ihuey Tasca

Absolutely outstanding food and atmosphere. Everything we had ( rabbit pate, cheese croquettes and pork canelloni) was exeptional. The waiter was so polite and the interior looked beautiful. The highlight of our trip to Tenerife so far and is now the restaurant that we will compre all other restaurants too. We will definitely be booking again before we go.

This hotel is in one of the best locations on the sea front. Yes it’s a little tired but it is immaculately clean. We were luckily enough to have room 1301 (two additional rooms are on the rooftop up a flight of stairs) it had two sun loungers and a table and chairs with views of Tiede and the sea, it was lovely. The pool area was lovely, plenty of loungers and a small bar, lovely gardens with peaceful seating. There was a variety of nightly entertainment, a dedicated bar in there plus a bar in the huge foyer.
Reception was friendly, smooth and efficient.
The dining room resembled a motorway service cafe, I think it needs some planting/pictures to soften it but the food itself was lovely, a huge variety, fried food, cereals, pastries etc. salads, grilled meats in the evening, everything you can want. The staff again were friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay here again, its good value for the money we paid.

Good rooms with 2 good beds but only a couch and no chair. Safe box at extra charge.
Different levels of the floor in common areas can be a problem for elderly. Parking is a problem. Streets are full of cars.

We chose to stay here for a week of nice weather and having read the reviews decided it would fit the bill. The apartments are in a lovely quiet residential neighbourhood not too far from restaurants, shops etc. We arrived very late due to delays with passport control, however we received a very warm welcome by the chap on reception. The apartment was very clean, and had everything you need for a week or so. The cleaners do a very thorough job and were always happy and chatty. The pool and sauna area was extremely clean and never busy and the two rooftop terraces were quiet with plenty of sun beds. The only slight issue was the noise from the guests above. We requested a higher room, unfortunately on this occasion we were not allocated one and were woken every morning at 6:30 by scraping of furniture and what sounded like a baby elephant lumping about. We understand that the hotel has little control over the time that guests arise, but perhaps consideration of using the felt patches which you can get to stick to the feet of furniture might reduce the noise for the comfort of other guests. Aside from this issue, we had a lovely stay and would recommend.

We ate here 6 or 7 times when last in PDLC for 5 weeks over Jan/Feb. We've eaten here dozens of times over the last 3 years. Definitely our favorite restaurant. The service is sometimes a bit slow, waiters grumpy, but the star of the show is the food, so complainers - get over yourselves, it's the food that gets us to return and it's the best italian food in PDLC. The pizzas are enormous, toppings superb. Average pizza is 10 euros, which for eating in a restaurant is super VFM. My wife and I average cost for a meal for 2 with drinks is between 25 and 30 Euros. Ignore the service side of it and just enjoy the food.

I wasn't expecting much from here after reading the reviews, however I was pleasantly surprised with what was on offer, the room was adequate enough!
The pool area was amazing and well kept, the staff are amazing also, they work long hours from what I seen. The food was good enough for me, lots of choice, for the money I paid I'm more than happy for what I got!!

On arriving at the hotel everything looked lovely, clean reception area lovely spacious room with pool view.
However after the first day myself and my partner became, let's just say, quite more than regular visitors to the loo.
We just put this down to the change in food, heat, drinking etc. The food at the resort was very bland with not much taste, we did eat out one evening just to get something with flavour.
Everything was clean and pool areas kept very clean but we did over hear a few people talking about people in their party becoming ill and again put it down to holiday heat etc. The staff kept the gardens and pool area very clean regularly emptying bins, and then serving behind the bar, and we
didn't see them wear gloves or wash their hands between tasks either. We also witnessed someone who was ill and vomit near the pool and on a lounger, which was just covered up with a wet floor 'A' board sign and wasn't cleaned up until the next morning.
Probably just swilled away with a hose pipe, which is what was done every morning, no disinfectant could be smelt or seen used. And the toilets, well, we've been to Tenerife many times and never put used loo paper in an open bucket at the side of the toilet before, which is where I believe problems can begin. I then became very ill on our day of departure and I still don't know know how l managed the journey home, and since being home I have been bed ridden for 4 days with acute diarrhoea and have never felt so ill in my life. So I believe that on the surface the hotel appears and looks very clean but hygienic, it isn't. Sorry but this experience has put me off and will not return or recommend.
