We had sun, rain, snow, and hail but it didn't dampen the spirits of the walkers (not us of course) Most daffodils we have ever seen. The GALLERY craft and art center is really worth a visit - some beautiful items there.

Enjoyed the beautiful views across the lakes and hills, the ferry over lake Windermere, days visits to Wordsworth House, Harridans wall, Beatrice Potters house, the Cotton-Reel Mill & ancient stone circles & day driving to Gretna Green Scotland. Didn't enjoy the rain that never seemed to stop or not being able to change hotels due to payment required in full...

This was a trip down memory lane for Isy my girlfriend who was born and bred in the area. Visited Scotby, Wetherall and the beautiful River Eden. Good couple of beers in the Wheatsheaf pub in Wetherall. Stunning countryside and not mobbed by tourists like us.
A walk around the lake at Buttermere is a must on any visit to the Lake District. Easy walking so suitable for everyone.
