It was a mystery trip to celebrate my husband's birthday and didn't disappoint. The pastoral setting is beautiful and boded well for a good night's sleep in our yurt, which stood high on a hill overlooking the rolling hills and a little frog pond. It was sparsely furnished but comfortable......only thing missing were some bedside lights. Other than that, the... More

Wonderful location, easy to find. The surprise is an ever enlarging inventory of new products! Attention to quality, detail, and craftsmanship is evident. A varied product selection of the finest quality showcased by Merridale's Scrumpy. The SCRUMPY is awesome, a reason to return again and again.

Stopped by with my Mom, Aunt and cousin on our way home from a weekend on Vancouver Island. Great little cider house. The tasting was 4 bucks and included 6 samples from hard cider to cider wines. Also was given a sample of the cider vodka, about knocked my socks off! Purchased some of the artwork produced by various artists... More

We got a tour of the cidery and then a tasting on the patio. The menu is limited, but well worth it. A nice drive from victoria on a spring day. Will go back when the pizza oven is in use.

Frequented for Lunch with my Husband for our Wedding Anniversary - although I wasn't so keen on the Tuna Quinoa salad I had ordered - (my husbands food was devine) - the atmosphere, cider etc were fantastic. My dislike of my special was more because I was expecting it differently - I misheard. It was a generous portion. Merridale -... More

Beautiful setting, very good food and baked goods. Service could have been better. Store to taste and take home.

Right from when you drive onto the property you will get a good impression. The grounds are well kept and and the staff are very helpful and knowledgable about the cider making process. The self guided tour takes you through the facilities and the info boards are very easy to understand. Doing a tasting and having lunch is a must...They... More

The food is very well prepared even though the menu could be a little more imaginative. Chef Benny prepares most of the food in the outdoor kitchen with smoke oven. It is fun to watch him work out there. The views across the orchards is very nice at almost any time of year.

We came here expecting a tourist quality experience and, although there were plenty of tourist here, the experience was anything but ordinary..great food, wonderful staff and beautiful surroundings!

We stopped here on a whim during a family vaca on Vancouver Island. What a hidden little gem. Not a huge cider fan, but we did the tasting ($4/each, proceeds go to charity) and enjoyed the experience. They were a little short-staffed, but the gal that walked us through the tasting apologized for the wait and then did a thorough... More
