Generally Sunrise trails are a bit less busy than the Paradise ones, but the season is shorter. Lots of snow until later July. To get to the lookout takes a bit, so you get rid of less serious trekkers. Very nice view.

Great easy trail. Bring sunscreen and long sleeves. Most of this trail is above tree line. I wouldn't recommend for very young kids as there are steep drop offs. Bring water!
If you do,n't want or can walk the moderate Fremont Lookout trail, you still can walk the easy part of this trail to the Frozen
lake.
You'll take the Sourdough ridge and have a super view of Mt Rainier in front. The Huckleberry valley is at your right after 800 m. The were plenty of alpine flowers next to the trail.We...

This hike is absolutely magnificent, the views are spectacular and amazing. You should make it between April and September. During the winter months is only for experienced hikers.
The views of Mt. Ranier were spectacular as well as gettng a 360 degree view from the fire lookout. It was nice being way above the treeline, easy to get to, moderately difficult hike.
This was my first hike from Sunrise Visitor center. I went with my hiking friend and was surprised to see stunning views. Mount Fremount Lookout has varying vista views. Its rocky at the end and weather can change very often. Lake was partly frozen. Sunrise is open only during summer so there is only a limited window of opportunity to...

My husband and I have been wanting to do this hike for years. It was far better than we had dreamed it would be. It is not a long hike, a little over 5 miles round trip. You gain elevation obviously, but some of the trail is actually level or slightly downhill. There are continuous views and vistas of lakes,...

I have hiked this trail many many times. The views of Mt. Rainier are fabulous. The trail is mostly above treeline so wear sunscreen!!! We always see tons of marmots and pikas on this trail. We have seen mountain goats near here too. The trail gets far enough away from Frozen Lake to get away from the crowds too. This...

The Mt. Fremont Lookout Trail is an easy hike. The elevation change is minimal across the distance walked. The trail takes you out to an old Fire Service Lookout Tower. The views are stunning. Seattle is visible to the north. Vancouver Island can be seen to the NW. If the Air Force is flying out of McChord AFB, the airplanes...
