True depth of the lake is not known (don't google soap people) but the water is crystal clear and is wonderful for swimming and kayaking. If you should decide to stay at the campgrou d the road noise from the semis drivimg along the lake is insanely loud and go all hours of the night. Try to get a campground... More

This is a nice place to just drive around although I would recommend stopping for a picnic just to feel the fresh clean air. This part of the US is spectacular.

We passed Lake Crescent two times on our "Twilight Tour" while going to and from attractions at which we spent more time. Both times we stopped and stretched our legs and took pictures. Although we did not fully take advantage of the attraction I can testify that it is beautiful and tranquil. There is also a visitors center at the... More

I drove by Cresecent Lake on the way to the western coast of the Olympic Peninsula, heading to Ruby Beach. Therefore couldn't invest there too much time. But even though, it did look beautiful. Enough to have me stop at several points and take some nice pictures.

Even though I traveled there solely with my girlfriend, I would have loved to have a family picnic or event here... maybe even a wedding!

We visited Crescent Lake while visiting Olympic National Park. We were planning on walking the Marymere Falls Trail which starts at Crescent Lake, so we figured we might as well enjoy the lake shore for a while. This lake is so beautiful and on a sunny day like we had you get to see that wonderful turquois colour it has.... More

We arrived here after driving several hours and it was just so peaceful and beautiful. We sat on the dock and took in the view of the surrounding mountains and met some very nice people.

Perfect little lake view set amongst the big trees along Highway 101. Think quick for the few small turnoff spots along the highway. Turn off 101 onto Lake Crescent Road and explore the historic Lake Crescent Lodge and trails into old-growth forest.

It is definitely worth a few minutes to stop at Crescent Lake on the way to the other attractions at Olympic National Park. It is very beautiful and calming.

We visited Crescent Lake as part of a day trip to the Olympic Peninsula. We are new to the area and heard about this lake and nearby Olympia National Park. It was very rainy and overcast when we visited but we were still quite impressed and plan to visit for an overnight stay sometime in the future.
