We took a moped out to this beach from our hotel – Villa Cojimar. It's about 20 minutes ride although someone more used to a moped might do it quite a bit faster. It's a nice beach with deeper water than the one at our hotel. It was pretty busy, but the area is quite large so not a problem.... More

We came here for a few hours while staying in Cayo Coco. I would rate it a 8/10 (compared to the places I've seen). The beach was very nice. Soft sand and beautiful coloured water (made for some great pictures)! You have to pay $2 CUC for a chair and be prepared to get there early if you want shade... More

This is the best beach I've ever been to. You stare endlessly at the shades of blue. Sand is beautiful, bright and soft. Do not dare to take off your sunglasses here, it's impossible to look it's so bright. Water is very warm and shallow. You can sit and meditate and wish that feeling would never end... The only downside... More

Fantastic place to see while in Caya Coco. Still very little interruption from people, coral, star fish and amazing fish. Crystal Clear water and sand that looks like diamond dust! Unforgettable views and peaceful time….easy to get to and worth the time!

Visited Pilar beach last year while staying in Cayo Coco. I have to say this is the most beautiful beach I have visited. Crystal clear water, and powdery white sand. There is a restaurant there as well as guys selling drinks at the beach. You have to pay for lounge chairs if you want one. There is a free bus... More

We traveled to this beach from Trinidad (three and a half hour drive) and completely fell in love with it! Crystal clear water, soft white sand (feels like powder) and not crowded with people - ideal for relaxing. We were there from 10am to 6pm - when it was high tide and ebb tide, and its quite amazing to see... More

Playa Pilar is one of the few undeveloped beaches in Cuba's keys. The sand in is very fine, like a wet powder, the water calm with curious fish swimming around you, overall it feels very pleasing if you enjoy the plain nature. The last time I was there, it was quite windy, with big waves crashing on the outer reef,... More
