We really loved wandering these streets, I think it was the highlight of our trip to Cuba. Loads of little shops and people wandering about, ice cream sellers, bars, hustle and bustle, loads of music emerging from different venues as you walk. If you go to Havana and don't visit Old Havana you are a fool!!!

If you stay here you can walk to all the best bits without needing to use taxis all the time.
The buildings are crumbling and faded, but fascinating. I personally enjoyed the large number of 50’s American cars still roaming the streets, although I supect under the covers they are probably more Frankenstein than American.
