We were so exited to be riding horses on a tropical beach but were sorely let down. The staff were kind and fairly helpful but that did not make up for the experience. The "ranch" was just an out building with their office and the horses were housed in a large stable. In the past when we went riding (in... More

We just returned from Punta cana- the hotel booked us for hourseback riding at el pat ranchero- i had heard bad things about this ranch - but found it to be a nice place. Horses and staff were good.

Yes, this is the typical trailride. But the setting is amazing. I have ridden in the Black Hills, Alaskan mountains, but this was my first time on a beach. The staff were great at matching riders to horses by ability. And on the way back they knew as an experienced horsewoman I was interested in a little more.. so they... More

This was a terrible experience. I use horses on my ranch all the time and was excited to be taking a riding adventure along the beach so was very, very disappointed. The guides spoke limited English so got no information from them about riding, the horses or the local area. Horses were skin and bones, manes and tails matted. Saddles,... More

we had the best guide his name was Kenny all was great and we had a blast thanks Kenny, love to see how the people lived out side of the resort and how they harvested the coffie and how cocoa grows and the vanilla ,and we got to see how they made the cigars which this tour was the greatest... More

My visit to this attraction left me sad. Firstly, the poor horses looked unwell, bony and underfed. Saddles were makeshift and most uncomfortable as were the stirrups, if you had them!!. Staff spoke hardly any English and were, therefore, not very helful on the flora and fauna. There was garbage everywhere. No somewhere I would reccommend to anyone who has... More

My boyfriend and I went to Bavaro Palace Deluxe, where he proposed to be me :) Anyway we were talked into the 2 hour sunset horse ride the last day we were there through the jungle and on the beach, it sounded wonderful. From the very beginning, it was not good and I wished we never would have gone through... More

Overall a nice experience but they need to clean the trash from the beach area where we went riding.

The guys were very friendly, but they don't speak much English. This is not just a trail ride. Don't go if you've never been on a horse before. If you ride, it was awesome. A lot of freedom. Go for 2 hours, 1 will not be enough! Bring a couple of singles to get fresh coconuts in the jungle.
