About
When hearing the words "tour company", most people picture the big, stuffy tour bus, packed with strange travelers. JuJu Tours is the complete opposite of that stereotype! We are an American owned company whose number one goal is to meet American standards. While practicing safety and maintaining professionalism is our number one priority, JuJu maintains a very laid-back "vibe" on all of our outings. Our tour guides are both knowledgeable and energetic American and Jamaican nationals. In order to offer our customers the best of both worlds, one female and male tour guide from each country attend all tours – dreadlocks, flip-flops and all. Every outing is completely private, for both big and large groups, allowing our guests to have a more intimate trip and customize the excursion to their liking. No other tour company on the island offers and delivers such personalized experiences. JuJu has over forty tours to choose from. Large groups, families with kids, couples - we have something for everyone. Amongst our array of different choices, both “touristy” and “off-the-beaten-path” excursions are available. Our primary mission, however, is to live up to our tag line “Jamaica Unleashed, Jamaica Uncovered!” Whether it be the secret cliffs to jump from, the limestone caves to explore or the rustic restaurants to enjoy a true Jamaican meal, we aim to help our guests discover Jamaica’s hidden charms and treasures. Proudly, JuJu is also the only company on the island that officially offers nightlife tours to the local dance clubs and reggae beach bars. We understand travelers tend to be hesitant about leaving their resorts, (most especially at night), and that is why two tour guides join all parties inside the venue and take them home at whatever time they choose. We have safe and comfortable vehicles of all different sizes. Roundtrip transportation, admission into all attractions, an authentic Jamaican lunch and beverages (yes, that includes booze!) are included with all tours. We also throw in a complimentary high-res photo CD of each trip for each customer.

Sorry to have to be writing this but I was so disappointed…this trip was a pilgrimage of sorts, part of my bucket list….to see where the great man was born, lived for a while then returned to in death…as soon as we disembarked we were ushered into a hut opposite to buy cannabis related products. I’ve no objection to this at all, indeed I purchased some, but the prices were way way beyond tourist rates! This continued as we entered…there was virtually no information about his life on the random pieces of artwork scattered about the place. The guide did give us some random bits of info then demanded (not politely ask) for a tip….it just felt like a cheap trick to cash in on a musical genius. Very Disappointed.

The only positive is I got to see Bobs thinking rock and his tomb and ultimately, that’s what I went for.

Just a brilliant trip with snorkelling a visit to Rick’s Cafe and partying all the way. The crew are superb and ‘Mama’ ensures everyone has a brilliant time dancing and singing. Sunset in the Caribbean on the way home is one of the best you can hope to see. Rick’s cafe is a must to see and take part in the cliff diving/jumping and what better way to get there than by boat.

First note when looking at reviews here some are not for the Blue Hole near Negril but rather for the Blue Hole near ocherios the two are quite different from one another.

The same goes for some of the pictures loaded.

So for the blue hole near Negril a few facts.

1. If you are self driving and you come from a country where the roads are in good condition and the drivers are not suicidal you might find the drive there challenging.

2. I did drive it in a normal four door Sudan car so it can be done.

3. The hole itself is just that a hole. There are not a lot of options other than jumping into that one hole.

4. I liked it - it is beautiful.

5. It was not very crowded and the staff/locals were not as pushy or as hustly as I’ve experienced elsewhere on the island.

6. 20$ per person cash only. You will be unhappy if you go all the way there and have no cash on you.

7. The facilities are basic but work and the area is not completely free of litter but not nearly as bad as many other attractions on the island.

8. There is a swimming pool that you can chill next to a bar restaurant that will serve you food and drink (again cash is king).

9. If you smoke marijuana they are pretty casual here in that regard.

10. No real life guards or controls in place.

11. Not a place I’d take young children to.

12. All in all we enjoyed it but I can see how it might not be for everyone.

So collected on time (1pm). We were staying about 15 minutes away. Margaritaville is a beach bar with live DJ and lots of fun. You can swim here. Spent about an hour then and boarded the boat. You board from the beach so appropriate attire is a must.

The catamaran is large and very clean. There are shaded areas and areas in full sun. The cruise was busy but it didn’t feel crowded.

‘Free’ bar. No food but there were snacks like crisps. There were not loads of brits getting hammered but definitely a party mood. I thinking calling it a booze cruise might put people off. I certainly wouldn’t have booked if I had seen that! There were babes in arms up to OAPs so everything goes! Music throughout.

Staff were friendly.

Went snorkelling which was fun. They give you all the gear including life vests. There was a serious medical emergency (someone had a stroke in the water) and the crew got her out in a matter of minutes. I was extremely impressed by the speed and professionalism. It also shows their processes for keeping us safe work! We had to return to shore for the ambulance to take the lady to hospital but they gave us the choice of another snorkel or more time at Ricks (unanimously the boat chose Ricks!).

Ricks Cafe is fun all the way. Bar and food (burgers etc). We didn’t eat but service is prompt, toilets are clean which is impressive for the amount of traffic. Cliff diving was done by kids to oldies with only the brave taking off from the highest point. The lifeguards will not let you jump from the highest point until you have completed each level in height in order. Some of the locals were doing amazing stunts which is great to watch.

*NB* Marajuana is freely available at Ricks (nothing to do with the cafe or the catamaran operators) and people were openly smoking. This did not detract from the fun or the feeling of being safe. I can’t stress this enough. There clearly is a party vibe but it’s also family orientated.

We returned to the catamaran and travelled back watching the sunset as we went. Back at the hotel for 7pm.

Honestly the best day. I can’t recommend enough! And a third cheaper than the TUI equivalent!

We booked our airport transfers with Juju Tours upon recommendation of a women’s online travel community of which I’m a part. We cannot say enough good things about Richie, our driver. He felt like family by the end of our drive. We’re looking forward to doing one or two excursions with Juju tours while here in Negril as well. Also, prior to our trip, the concierge was amazingly helpful and responsive via email with answering any and all questions I had. Juju Tours excels when it comes to safety, friendliness, timeliness and professionalism.

This was our second time going out to Pelican Bar with JuJu Tours (previously went back in 2017), and it is simply the best! Great experience taking the rasta boat from Black River and then spending all afternoon out at Pelican Bar, eating and drinking and swimming til sunset! Our guide Richie was so much fun to hang out with and showed us a great time! Highly highly recommend if you do Pelican Bar, do it with JuJu Tours, they are truly the best in the game!

Had a great day with Oneil for a day trip to Blue Hole Mineral Springs. The mineral massage was invigorating. The Blue Hole was absolutely spectacular. We completed the day with an awesome lunch at Somewhere West In Negril. What a beautiful setting. Our second year in a row using JuJu Tours and we absolutely recommend them for all your Negril tour needs.

My husband and I booked the Countryside tour as we wanted to see some of the real Jamaica. We were picked up from our hotel by Richie, in his lovely air conditioned car. He was really friendly and taught us a lot about the local Jamaican life. He stayed with us all day. Our first stop was a local market, where we were able to taste some of the local produce. Next we visited a local school ( the highlight for me) , as I am an ex-teacher, where we were greeted by smiling, happy children. I took some gifts for them, such as pencils, books, stickers etc for which they were very grateful, as the schools in Jamaica do not many supplies. We stayed for a short while where I was able to sing with them. Our next stop was a local bar where we sat with some locals and had a lunch cooked by the owner. We then swam in the sea at a stunning unspoilt beach. Our last stop was at a local forest where we were shown a few remaining landmarks which were made famous by the late Bob Marley. We were then returned to our hotel after a very satisfying and interesting day. I would thoroughly recommend JuJu tours and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them if we return to Jamaica.

My husband and I did 3 Juju Tours, our last was Horseback Riding and we loved it! Our guide BJ picked us up and we adored him! He was super knowledgeable about Jamaica, took us to the best spots to eat and was a blast to hang out with! We rode horses with 2 guides until we got to the water and then we were able to get in the water with the horses which was a blast! I had no idea how much they loved the water and it was so fun to gallop through the water with them. This was both fun and romantic!
