This area was a great treat, Carolina Beach was amazing. It did not have people walking up and down the beach trying to sell you things so it made for a more relaxing visit. The beach was very clean and somewhat quiet. This spot is a must do if you visit San Juan.

Nice beaches, but a bit more suburban and spread out than old San Juan... Worth spending a day. I stayed at Coqui inn which was nice and close to th beach.

best place for tourists, great nightlife, good food, best beaches. Why stay anywhere else? This place has the hotels, the beaches, the casinos, the nightlife...I cant imagine staying anywhere else in Puerto Rico from all the places ive seen while there.

This is the place to go if you want cheaper souvenirs than Old San Juan. Lots of hotels, awesome beaches and tasty places to eat make this area a must visit.

It is a short cab ride (20 minutes) from the docks, should cost around $20.00 each way. It is a nice clean beach. You can rent a chair and/or umbrella for pretty cheap. The waves crash which is great fun! It can be a little rough for inexperienced swimmers. There is a guy who gives you a menu when you... More

Fun, good food and drinks, the ultimate Caribbean escape for young couples. Old San Juan has so much to do, if you have time go to Culebra

sticky sand but beautiful, clean, a little crowded, nice water for swimming - no reason you will not like it. of course it feels less Caribbean wild and more urban, but thats not that bad truly.

Not what it used to be but just great for us. Clear sand beaches and waste high blue waters. Lots of shady palm trees and beach chairs and umbrellas to rent for $4 and $10 consecutively. Not much to do for tourists looking to shop, but great to go to or stay at the beach for a relaxing vacation. Wonderful... More

Here you can find a variety of restaurants and hotels in the beach. Is very close to the main airport (5 mins in taxi) and very close to el Condado area and Old SJ. A very good option for stay while on vacations.
