In front of the Capitol Building, this Plaza’s name is known by few, but it has seen most, of not all of Puerto Rico’s major democracy “screams” by the people of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 I only came here once as a university student to support women’s rights to the same opportunities at the university many years ago 🤔😬😂🙏🏼 This time I brought my Airbnb guest walking Paseo Puerta de Tierra from Santurce to Old San Juan and she loved it!

Lovely walk from Condado and Paseo Puerta De Tierra to Old San Juan ending here in front of the Capitol building! The view to the ocean is impressive and there is a small beach down some steps here!! Bring your snorkeling gear, most days it’s possible! I came with my Airbnb guest from Mexico and he loved it!

Plaza San Juan Bautista sits right across the street from the Capital of Puerto Rico and has a nice walking path along the road. There are glass mosaics of the major townships and cities displayed and are very detailed. The view on the North side of the plaza is of Playa Peña Beach and the Caribbean Sea which also is a great view.

Right in front of the Capitol. A lot of protests happen here. Great location right outside Old SJ...

starting from capitolio, prepare yourself to be amuse by the view of the atlantic ocean while walking. plenty of benches for a "stop-over" to take a rest. make sure to go down the Playa Peña Beach first before starting your walk- because it will give you a solo moment and a nice place for selfie and pictorial.

along the way, you will pass by gas stations with restrooms. at shell station, don't you ever miss the food truck "el lobo" as they serve the best lechon and pollo ever!!! $10 for a good meal (which i find a heavy meal already) coz of the arroz (rice) and meat.

If you're walking to old San Juan, which not many people do I'm told, I reccommend walking along the Avenida Muñoz Rivera. When you get to a nice little plaza named after the founder of San Juan, there is a terrific photo stop location for the ocean on one side and right infront of you is located the Capitolio. Along your walk to old San Juan you'll come across Castillo San Cristobal as well so there is plenty of reason to stop and have a look about you and take some photos before you head to Cafe Berlin for lunch, which I assume you're going too... that's where I would be going... Enjoy, it's a terrific spot for a 10-15 minute stop.
