We heard a lot about the "drive-in volcano" and sulfur springs, so our expectations were high. It certainly was interesting, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. Yes, it's quite smelly due to the sulfur, but that didn't bother me at all. Watching the hot water bubbling up from the earth was pretty cool. Unfortunately, there are some... More

The sulfur springs mud bath was one of the fun parts of our "Joe Knows" tour, which was part sightseeing, part photo shoot, and a party rolled into one. We didn't stay here very long because there was a lot packed into the tour. We had just enough time to rub the mud on, get pictures and wash it off... More

Ensure your footwear is comfortable if you intend to climb upwards..the people are friendly, but be careful that you don't make yourself too vulnerable, as some craft vendors can be a bit pushy. The geogrpahy of the place is awesome!

It's not everyday we get to have a mudbath without paying for it at a spa. The mud itself is kind of silky, fluid and easy to easy to apply. The sulphur smell is as expected. The mud dries fast and there are rocks nearby to bask in the sun during this process. The springs themselves, for removing the mud... More

The water was way too hot for me to completely submerge myself (110 on that day). But it was a fun excursion and we got to meet some other tourists.

Very weird thing to look at but we enjoyed the time there. The smell takes a while to get used to but once you have then you can enjoy the experience. It's fascinating to see what there is on different Islands and just to see something unusual is nice. The temperature is of the water boiling and you can see... More

Had a wicked time at the springs. Me and my wife had a mud bath and make your skin feel so soft. We also went on a tour and saw the only live volcano in the Caribbean. Really worth the trip!!

We stayed in Ladera Resort, which is close to the Sulphur Springs. We really enjoyed the tour by our guide, who told us a lot about the caldera and about the nature. At the end of the tour we went into the springs, which are really really hot. Like all other tourists, we covered ourselves in mud and than rinsed... More

You drive into the crater off the volcano and swap lush forest for steaming, hot water. The smell is interesting, clears out the sinus, but is one of those things that you really have to experience. Pools of black boiling water look really surreal! Afterwards your skin feels as soft as a babies and you feel fabulous.

I'm still not convinced this isn't a joke they play on the tourists but we did it anyway. Of course it smells but its kind of funny
