There are plenty of other nicer beaches nearby. Catch a bus for $2/person to watch the planes at Maho, enjoy a nice view at Mullet, or the tranquility at Copecoy on the western side of the island. Or take the bus for the tourist experience at Great Bay in Phillipsburg. Heck, rent a car and go to Orient Bay before... More

When we arrive in early November, the beach is not crowded and the water is rather warm. There is a beach bar located nearby, along with a restaurant if you want that type of setting. Their is also a cocktail waitress that will occasionally stop over to see if we need anything else from the bar.

On the first Sunday of every March, a party is held at Kim Sha Beach in the evening to celebrate the final day of the Heineken Regatta as well as to hand out the awards to the winners. This party is a lot of fun. The view of the vast amounts of various boats anchored near the beach is spectacular.There... More

The actual beach is nothing to rave about except for its location close to Buccaneers Bar, La Bamba and a host of restaurants nearby including two Indian restaurants across the street on Billy Folly road. The main strip of restaurants is only a couple of minutes away on Airport road

We went to LaBamba one evening while we were at St Maarten. We were told that they had a great Latin party on Tuesday nights, and it was sure true. We got there at 8PM and they were looking for people that wanted a latin dance lesson. For a mere $10 a person, we got a pretty lengthy lesson from... More

Quiet, several places to get food and drinks right there. The cove is on the leeward side, and was shielded from the wind.
