If you like history, you should visit the Fortress. Even if you don't like history, you should visit. There are great views from the fortress.

I loved this self guided tour, exploring the structure and the architecture. If I had to choose one tourist attraction, this would be it. Amazing local and north american history lessons here, and absolutely beautiful. Take kids for sure!

My husband and I had Brimstone Fortress to ourselves and we loved every minute of it. The fortress is in great shape with lots of nooks and crannies to explore, lots to learn and amazing views of the island and ocean. Pack a picnic - lots of good spots to sit and relax!

My husband and I visited Brimstone Hill during a shore excursion at St. Kitts. We enjoyed the fortress and the views from on top of the hill. The fortress is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and in great shape. The history of the fort was interesting, but there were no guides. It is a self-guided tour with a few signs... More

My wife and I recently returned to St Kitts on a cruise vacation in April 2013. While there we visited Brimstone Hill on an excursion. We were very impressed with how intact the fortress was. As mentioned in numerous reviews, it is a bit strenuos to climb to the top. However, the walk is definately worth it as the views... More

Definitely worth the price of admission and the slightly steep climb to the top. Breath taking views from the top with lots of photo opportunities. You can either opt for the audio tour or just look around. There are signs in all the rooms so I personally didn't see the need for the additional purchase of the audio tour. Plan... More

We visited St. Kitts aboard the Carnival Valor in March 2013. We really weren't sure what to do. Looking for a low time commitment outing, we decided on a visit to Brimstone Hill. We got a cab in The Circus in the middle of Basseterre. The ride up and back was $50 for 4. It was about a 20-30 minute... More

If you go on a multi-island tour like we did save yourself the requisite trudge up the hill to a pile of stones and a few rusty cannons on most other islands and do Brimstone Hill. Intact, well presented and very impressive.
