We loved the trip up to the fort. Very scenic, free, and a quick little trip. We felt very safe. No problems at all..

See the Gulf of Paria, Port of Spain, Chaguaramas, the Maraval and Diego Martin valleys from on location. On a sunny day a photographer's paradise. Framing the beauty of this Calypso and Soca island would be a pleasure. An ideal place for a family or romantic picnic. Try it you will like it.

Fairly well signposted up some pretty steep and winding roads. Has a parking area at the top with cannons and a signal tower. Great view over Port of Spain. Well worth taking a camera/binoculars. Security was not an issue, but you're pretty isolated here so perhaps best be cautious and go in a larger group.

i went here as a child...it was insightful to see my country's military past...seeing that we once belonged to spain, then france, and then the English!

Historic building with stunning views. Well worth the steep drive up from the city. Built by the British and well preserved.

It's a great way to see most of Port of Spain. Don't go too early or late in the dat though for safety.

It is a very steep and winding road to get to the Fort, but the views of Port-of-Spain are well worth the drive! Free admission, and lots of tables to enjoy a picnic lunch. We have been a couple of times, and there have always been several staff on site - we have never felt that are safety was in... More

The views were great. The roadway was narrow and scary. The fort was clean and is a great place for a picnic.

I refuse to beleive that this is the state of one of our forts , my husband almost refused to take me and then we did not get out of the car or stay more than 30 seconds , we were afraid to be robbed

Not much there. Good view from the hilltop but good people will warn you not to go. Hotspot for people to rob you at gunpoint. The road up there is very narrow, winding around the hillside, be prepared to have to reverse back down if you meet an oncoming vehicle. The way in is through streets of housing, we were... More
