A wonderful hike through a tropical rain forest, fresh air, and then you come into a glade with a spectacular waterfall and just a beautiful view. Worth a half day out....and my only disappointment is the amount of garbage my fellow Trinis leave behind at such a wonderful place!

Maracas Waterfall is one of the most accessible waterfalls on the island. The scenery offers breathtaking natural beauty. You can access it via Waterfall Road in Maracas Valley in St. Joseph. Once there, the walk should take you no longer than 25 minutes...but be sure instead to walk slowly and let your senses come alive to remarkable scenes of nature.... More

We were in the area and decided to check out the falls. We arrived at the trail head about an hour before sunset, so we were a little worried about not being able to make it there and back before sundown, but as it turned out it was no problem. The walk is really easy, I guess it's good fun... More

The walk to the Maracas Waterfall is not difficult. No steep inclines. Just be careful during the rainy season as some places can be slippery.

This is not close to Maracas beach! It is however worth the trip. Fantastic waterfall with nice pool area to have a bath in the cool Caribbean forest. There is a scenic hike to get to the waterfall though a forest trail, which I would not advise for toddlers or folks with injuries or disabilities. make sure and walk with... More

The trek through the tropical rainforest has some interesting flora and fauna and is relatively easy (about a mile, no steep slopes and well defined path). The waterfall has little water, but is worth seeing.

Its not the type of waterfall you can get into and cool off in but looks spectacular. Walk is a bit challenging in the heat and involves walking over a slippy bit of rock so is not good for anyone with limited mobility.
