Off the beaten path. Surrounding by luxury homes. Some parts of chalk sound are stunning, however towards the end it's not so nice. Best part is finding Taylor Bay along the drive.
Definitely would recommend seeing this. The water is beautiful bright turquoise color. The only problem is that there isn't a place close enough to it to stop and look. We stopped on the side of the road in a dirt and rock area overlooking it.
Awesome view of the Sound from Las Brisas. It is ashame you cant really do anything other than look at it. It is well worth a visit here and las brisas and taylor bay for the day
Chalk Sound is beautiful. You will need a car to get there. It takes about 15-20 minutes from Grace Bay. Take Chalk Sound Drive to Ocean Point Drive, turn left and you will see a small parking area on your right with a sandy path. The beach is quite massive with no shade or facilities. Bring your own drinks, towels... More
Chalk Sound was very beautiful and worth the drive over. We took a Vespa over to this part of the island and as you get higher in the hills the scenery is breath taking. Would love to own a home on Chalk Sound one day!!
Chalk Sound was one of the other beautiful sites to see in Provo. We were told that the floor bed of the sound is made of chalk, and the algae that lives there gives it the beautiful blue color. We could not find a beach or swimming spot to get in the water, although it sounds like there are such... More
Chalk sound was wonderful but we could find no where to actually get in and enjoy the tropical waters. We took many side roads and got great pictures of many cayes in the sound but not until we went to lunch at Las Brisas did we see where we could get into the water. We were told it was a... More
Chalk Sound is an area surrounded by luxury homes. There are very few public roads and those roads are not maintained. There is nothing to see or do here as it seems like the area is meant for those who own homes here. Not worth exploring and wasting your time as it is relatively difficult to find and quite frustrating.... More
turn at the police station and again at the Childrens Home, looks like a dirt road, drive to the end. Beautiful gazebo up on the hill. Crystal clear water knee high for at least 40 feet. Not a ripple or a wave, great snorkeling. Just before Las Brisas on opposite side of the road.
