The islands (Espititu/La Partida) are definitely the most enchanting location to visit near La Paz. No matter what "type" of traveler you are or the budget involved you are sure to have an unforgettable experience with nature. Whether you are a backpacker with limited funds and looking to do hiking and kayaking for an affordable price or an A list...

Dramatic desert island with spectacular (mostly empty beaches). Crystal clear water. We saw hundreds of dolphins in the waters surrounding the island. According to our boat captain, the island, despite its starkness, is populated with goats, rabbits, jackrabbits, snakes and squirrels.
A day tour like no other. Sun, dolphins, manta rays, sea lions within feet of the boat,, ditto for seals, ,,,,,,,and I never left the boat! Nature and beauty at its best. A natural National Park. I love how no one is allowed closer than 15 feet to shore so the animals rule out here. Cost to get there far...

Even if you've never kayaked, Isla Espíritu Santo should be on your bucket list. Gorgeous beaches, awe-inspiring sunsets, fascinating geology, beautiful fish--the island has it all. A week of paddling and camping on the island will change your life.
I've visited La Paz for this month and this place is magical! Its very beautiful. I went with a group of people from California and they were fascinated, we are very excited of our trip in La Paz, its very beautiful and quiet.
The tour was nice however I think it lasted too long (from 9am-4pm). I wish I would have taken a tour from the beach right in front of the island (Tecolote) since the other tour boats take over an hour just to get to the island from the rest of the part of the cities.
Did a snorkel trip so saw many whales, beaches, and a huge pod of Dolphins (300-400 maybe). Snorkeling was with wet suits and sealions. They swim right up to you and sniff your hand
Wonderful get away from it all vacation: paddling from bay to bay, camping on Espiritu Santu and Isla Partida. Sub contractor BOA (Baja Outdoor Adventures) took care of the food and equipment, ten people enjoyed the first 4 days; five people stayed for another 4 days. It was all good. A lot of wind the first night blew my tent...

I liked everything, the beach, the site, the panorama. Try seeing it from an ultralight flight, you will never forget it.
