I think everyone that visits will agree that this is not just a theater. It is an amazing piece of history. The amount of vegetation that used to occupy the space and what they did to restore it is amazing. Good on you Mazatlan, the arts are so important in any culture. I think the idea of Angela Peralta and... More

You must see this theater and go for a opera or ballet. Top performances and great atmosphere. No bad seats.

Unfortunately we weren't able to see a performance. But took a self guided tour of the building. Impressive. Even more so when we saw the before pictures in the second floor gallery.

The Teatro Angela Peraulta is a fully restored fabulous old theater. It seats approximately 800 and has great accoustics. You can see Symphony, Ballet, Opera, Modern Dance, Great singers, and almost everything else here, at incredibly reasonably prices. If you get a chance to see a performance here, take it. If that doesn't work, at least take a tour. It... More

We had gone to purchase tickets for traditional Mexican Dance Show. The guy even asked us if we wanted 6 or 8 o'clock and we told him 8 p.m. He said that the doors opened at 7:30. A few days later my husband looked at the tickets and it said 7 o'clock. We also noticed that it was a show... More

Have just returned from seeing the ballet Don Quixote at Angela Peralta. The theatre is stunningly beautiful. We have seen opera, folkloric dance, modern dance and ballet here. Tickets can range from expensive to free depending on whats on offer. What has prompted this review is an observation regarding the cultural difference relating to behaviour at such events. Last night at... More

This is a wonderful renovated old "grande dame". Many different forms of entertainment here, from ballet, opera, symphony, modern dance, choirs. Even if you don't attend a performance, please take a tour. It's lovely and the acoustics are great. Oh, by the way, most expensive tickets area out $40.00 Cad.

We went to a wonderful contemporary dance evening at this Theatre but I think it would be worthwhile going to any of the shows that are held there. The Theatre is wonderfully restored and very beautiful and the location in the heart of Centro makes it perfect to combine dinner at one of the retaurants around the Plaza Machedo/
