Really wonderful natural monument, nothing like it anywhere else! A big amazing tree, pay the small fee that helps support the grounds and keeping it safe. My 3-year old still talks about "his" Tule Tree. He fell in love with it and so will you.

Its well worth a stop over particularly if traveling West or South from Oaxaca. The tree needs to be seen to be believed on how big it actually is, its gigantic! Nice little town for a quick break.

2000 year old gigantic tree. Branches 15 stories high. The Mexicans are very proud of it. Fun to see.

Truly inspiring. You can spend an hour or more admiring its multiple formations and elements. Surrounded by a small and very well-maintained garden. A nice break from running around sightseeing and shopping. Try to come during the week -- fewer people to disrupt the mood. he restaurant El Tule -- 100m away across the square is unpretentious, clean, and has... More

The tree is amazing - and the town keeps a terrific garden. Often the nuns sell homemade rompope and cookies. Some of the best ice cream in the area is nearby - I like the one at the corner. But mostly think about how long there have been markets at this tree. I've heard that a glyhp was found that... More

The facade of the church is very interesting, and it is, apparently, the oldest living thing on earth...but at the end of the day, it's a tree. It's a big, beautiful tree, but...still...a tree. Worth the 5 minute stop on the way to elsewhere.

This is a beautiful tree and has an interesting history. It began growing when the area was swampland on the edge of lake and has survived over the many centuries as the region slowly dried out. The tree started to become unhealthy and so the government moved the highway, protected the root system and installed irrigation. The town itself has... More

It is a really surprising piece of nature. I'm wondering how many of these trees ever existed. The small church and the garden surrounding the tree make everything a one place to watch. Stop by during your tour. It will take you about 30 minutes to visit it and take some pics. When I was there with my family there... More
