Very calm waters with a lifeguard, bathrooms and water station, even handicapped access all the way to the shore. Free parking with a guard. Will go there again to snorkel!
The beach is easily found, especially if you have a rental car. It's a nice, sandy beach with shaded umbrellas for theses who arrive early. On the right side are rocks, where many colorful fish can be seen from the shore, with even more if you snorkel a bit. We go each year.
We visit Los Cabos every year and usually try to visit sometime between October and December so that the water at Chileno is a comfortable temperature. This has long been one of our favorite beaches in this area and continues to get better and better. Over the last few years they have added nice clean restroom facilities and built several... More
We visited Chileno Beach as part of a kayaking trip (separate review). It was gorgeous and excellent snorkelling very close to shore. It is wheelchair friendly and actually has a wheelchair specifically designed for beach use.
This bay was about a 15 minute cab ride from our Resort. The cost per way is $20.00 (U.S.) or you can take the bus. You will need to watch for the Santa Maria sign. Once you see this sign, stand up and tell the bus driver you'd like to go to Chileno Bay and to please enter. He will... More
Me and my husband liked the beach so much that we went back twice! It is easy to reach it with the public bus (around 15 minutes from San Jose) and I liked it better than playa del amor (even though I also liked that beach) because it was less crowded and it was full of locals! The beach is... More
We were very happy with this choice of locations! There were lots of fish and some people had seen the turtles. A must do!
This beach was so great we went back twice before our trip was over. Once the clouds roll away the snorkeling is EXCELLENT! Bring your own snorkel set or buy them at Walmart for $20...so worth it! This beach has pretty granite and coral, some shells, crystal clear water, great snorkeling, bathrooms, a guarded parking lot, and no solicitors trying... More
The beach is raked clean every day, there is a guard at the gate, there is only one small wave to get through and after that the ocean is calm. There are colorful fish for the snorkelers. I wished that the tour boats were not there but they are not too bad. The beach is very crowded at the weekends... More
Very clean, no animals, wonderful birds, good swimming. If you get there early before the tour boats come it is very peaceful.
