Centrally located in the heart of Morelia, Jardin de las Rosas has it all! The enchanting gardens, sculptures and fountain are breathtaking, they have art shows on the weekend and a lovely variety of places to choose to eat and or drink. A wonderful was to spend an afternoon in Morelia!

There are lots of restaurants there but every Sunday there are artist there who display their works, and if you are interested you can take free art classes on that same day. A very pleasant spot, just a block from the main plaza, to sit and enjoy a beverage. If you're a sucker for arts and crafts, like I am, there are a couple of stores that carry lovely stuff from around the state of Michoacan.
The jardin is a block off the main street and is a well maintained park with several sidewalk cafes. We visited during the day of the dead celebrations and the park was even nicer with all the decorations, art work and artists in attendance. A relaxing place for lunch and a cerveza.
This is a cute little plaza right by the sweets and handicrafts market. It has several bars and restaurants to choose from - look out for the ones that offer 2 for 1 beer!
