On our last day, we decided to head up the highway by colectivo to a place we'd spotted, on the way down from the airport, where there were about four different cenotes all close together. We got off the colectivo (less than 10 minute ride from our hotel in Akumal) with the intention of probably visiting them all. In the... More

It was located right in front of our hotel (Barcelo Maya) and we walked there. We were alone there and the guide spoke french so we were happy about it. Nice underground caves, a must do if you are in the area. Loved the quietness of the place, the feeling of the underground water. The open cenote are ok but... More

Totally nice break from the beach. The underwater river and "Cenote" are very nice and enjoyable experience. The guide who took us through was very knowledgable and really helped to take some amazing pictures while in the cave system. Definitely worth the visit. Getting around can be tricky so do not recommend for people who may have difficulty getting around.

Lovely, well maintained grounds. Spotless but also very natural and unspoiled. This is not xplor, hidden waters etc....in a good way. A hidden gem. There were three of us with our guide, Saul. He was pretty new at it but still informative, friendly and hard working. First of all, do book on line and save 20%. We booked a few... More

I was recommended to visit this cenote by the bell boy at the Hotel we were staying at. It is just off the highway across from the Barcelo Resort . It was so amazing . Definitely choose the option to be guided in the underground cenote. It was the highlight of my vacation . I had Oscar as my guide... More

Such a great experience enjoying 6 different cenotes and relaxing around the park in between. I would recommend to go early to make the most of it. The first cenotes that we visited were truly amazing!. We went there with the help of an experienced and friendly guide who took us through carefully illuminated caves, where you can see the... More

It may take about 10 minute walk to get to place with dolphins but your accompanied by hotel staff. The dolphins are nice but depending on where you are standing may be a bit far

I typically like off the beaten path trips but needed to just bum on the beach for awhile so we headed to mexico. Most rivera maya excursions are horribly touristy, lack authenticity and are gimmicky. This eco-park is great for those trying to avoid such activities. The tour group was small and guides spoke many languages. The centoes and caves... More

This was my second time to the park. If you are looking for a wonderful balance between the support of an experienced guide and the opportunity to explore some smaller cenotes on your own Kantun chi is the right place to go. We sent 6 1/2 hours relaxing and exploring the park. Simply a wonderful day.
