Well cared for animals in nice surroundings. A lot of information for children and a special park about dinosaurs. Easy to reach by C-train. The zoo is located on an island in Bow river.

I love absolutely everything about the Calgary Zoo. The Penguins are wonderful to see - especially when they do the Penguin walk - a must see. The Tiger cubs are growing so fast and are so cute. The enclosures are excellent and look so much like the animals natural habitat. The Calgary Zoo has worked very hard to make this...

It was great! Would even say it's better than the San Diego Zoo! Only complaint was that I went when every single kid and mother and classroom seemed to have been there!

Being new to Calgary we thought we'd head out to the local zoo. We were not disappointed, fantastic day and shall be coming back with family when they visit!!
my kids love going to the zoo, we always get season passes and they are well worth it. nice to go and spend the day with kids.
A nice way to spend a day with kids Playground nice, great animal exhibits. Lots of interactive displays throughout, Nice plants. My little kids love the tiny train ride. I love that everyone gets tired out.
The zoo has changed over the years, but the most important part of the staying the same is the education you get by going. If you care about animals and the world, then the support by attending the zoo is how you can show it. The exhibits have declined over the years, the but quality of the ones there is...
