Granville Island is an ideal trip on a rainy day. Lots of little shops and a great food market. The shops are a little touristy but it's the food market that's the hub. If you want to sit down an eat, have an early lunch.

Friendly, small-town atmosphere. Loved all the shops. The market was huge! So many things to see and buy. Favorite was Granville Island Soap.
Great place to spend a day. Lots of restaurants to have lunch then shop til you drop for gourmet food, fresh vegetables, fruit and much, much more.
This is where the locals shop. Jewel like stacks of the freshest produce, the best fish and gourmet meat cuts. Made on location pasta and sauces. Chocolate! Fresh breads! Flowers! Plants! Eclectic little cafes, theatres, interesting shops, street performers. Take a shopping basket, spend the day. Feed the gulls, watch the boats go by, drink lattes and eat pastry. Watch...

Fabulous variety and a really enjoyable vibe. While buzzing with energy, the market space never seems too crowded. Variety of food on offer is amazing. A must see spot in Vancouver.
Endless selections of cheeses, meats, etc...can fill an entire day, just wondering around, tasting things, and of course buying everything you can possibly eat.
This place is just fun. The little shops are such a relief from the dreary sameness of mall-ville everywhere, and you never know just what treasures you might find. The food market is to die for. There is an abundance of beautiful fresh food, spices and sauces, jams and honey that its easy to leave with much more than you...

The Granville island brewery is a great hour or so to learn about micro brewing and to try the selection of ales. Maple Cream is a creation of beauty! The market is decent too. Get the taxi boat across and go full tourist!
Spend an afternoon exploring the market and the Shops on Granville Island, it's pretty unique! The food court in the market is awesome (yummy!) and you can walk around the sea wall for great views of downtown vancouver. The brewery is also worth a visit!
The top floor has great views over false creek. We shared two starters and a salad - all well presentad and prepared. Then service and atmosphere were good . Worth looking for under the bridge on Granville Islsnd. Worth spending time on Granville Island.
