I have attended 3 Tattoos and each year is exciting and different. It's more than just military marching bands, although they are amazing.

I went to this not knowing what to expect, but was extremely surprised and delight by the show. It was bigger and grander than anything I expected. Great show. I was a little bit long but looks of variety to keep you interested.

The Royal NS International Tattoo combines pipe bands, dancers, military show groups from several countries, and choirs. It is a display of Nova Scotia's Scottish heritage and of pomp and military precision drill teams. A must-see

In my opinion this is one of the planet's top family shows. Although based on the military tattoo format, there is lots of variety to please every taste in entertainment from 6 to 96. The fast pace and intimate (hockey arena) setting gives it that special cosey yet thrilling effect.

We are "regulars" at the tattoo. When friend from away suggest visiting us, we always suggest they come at the time of the tattoo. On every occasion they are spellbound. Generally we regard it as a noisy and joyous evening event. We recommend eating at home before the show because the Halifax restaurants are pretty well full, and you will... More

The Tattoo is a yearly event in Halifax that is an incredible show. Not only is it a great showcase for Nova Scotia culture and heritage, it attracts acts globally. Music, Dance, culture, acrobatics, and gun running to name a few. It is a wonderful way to spend an evening with something for everyone of every age.

If you're visiting Halifax while the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is going on (it only runs at the beginning of July each year) then you should definitely go! Every time I've gone I've enjoyed each performance. It's incredible the number of performers and what they do throughout the show. It's worth the ticket price for sure!
