Loved the beachy feel of this park. Lots of boats, sand, boardwalks, parks for kids, and ice cream stands.

Great place to take the family, dogs or just go for a walk along the trail....even in the winter the walkway is maintained well. Clean washrooms, beach, kids play area, picnic tables, water, what more would u wish for on a hot day. Parking is good, great location, easy to find and restaurants of all sorts near by. Have a... Really nice sand beach! Great playground for young children. Water is clear with sandy bottom. Spend a lot of time by the lake. Close to downtown. Nice walking trail.

Barrie's waterfront is open and accessible and free. The water is chilly until mid July. Biking, roller blading or walking it's a real gem and breath of fresh air. No charge parking and lots of it.

Nice beach and park area. Great for families and kids. Nice place to walk but sometimes get way too crowded. Water is cold even in the summer. Too many geese and droppings. Great venue for community events. I often just drive down to the park to be near the water - best substitute for the ocean in my area.

The park has wall maintained gardens and fountains in summer and because it is on the shore the bay there is always lots to see, photograph, etc.

All so virtually stupid. The beach is across from and downwind from the massive sewage treatment facility, which depending on the day, can be really RANK! The massive sewer water release is off the main beach about 1000 feet in the lake. You can tell as this is where the ice is last to freeze over in the winter. The... More

Depends on your goals, and what you are looking for. Centennial Park is a nice place, and most times fairly clean. But there are times when events have become to "typical" of what you see elsewhere. It used to be somewhat unique, with "Barrie" only events, and things to do. Now it is pretty much the same as any other... More

We have been going to this beach for several years. There is lots of space but somewhat limited shade - especially if you want to be near the water. Bring your own umbrella if you need shade and like to be on the sand. There is plenty of free parking and clean washrooms. There is paved biking/walking/roller blading trail and... More
