Nice to be in the cool forest, going down to the wild river down below. A nice hike, not crowded, at all ! you will step into wonderland, the large boulders make it seems like you stepped into an elf magical country, if you keep looking around maybe, the little elf or fairies will show themselves... So magical! Full of... More

we didn't know where we were going as the building was closed, once we saw the staircase down 4-5 flights we figured that was the way. we didn't think we would make it down to the water but we did and it was awesome. it's not so much a hike as it was rock climbing! at least on the way... More

My husband and I enjoyed a hike down to the river and were astounded by the power and beauty of the Niagara River. The water was so clear and crystal blue. The trails were well defined and there were many of them. The hike down to the water was very rocky and steep but definitely worth it!

Most tourists don't even give this place a second glance: rather than see the gorge from within, they opt to shell out mega-bucks for a jet boat ride. Walking into the glen simply requires a good pair of walking shoes and a drop of sweat or two in order to get up close to the river's power. Find rare plants,... More

This was my favorite thing to do on our trip. Lots of good exercise and scenery to see. You probably would not want to do this if you are in poor shape or have bad knees. It is a vertical hike. Lots of going up and down. We were actually hoping the trail would be longer and would go all... More

Put on your hiking boots and go on the paths. They are not built as tourist friendly - it is truly hiking trails with awesome nature, rock formations, trees, and of course the river rapids. Park also has picnic areas, and a hands on nature center in the welcome center.

Stop where the building and parking lot say Niagara Glen. Walk over to the stone wall and enjoy the view of the Niagara Gorge. Look across the river to see the geological history of Niagara Falls. For the adventurous and fit people, there are stairs to the east that will take you right down to the Niagara River with clearly... More

Just on outskirts of city is this wonderful hidden away area. Take the time to drive through it or make a picnic and enjoy. Love it.

If you love hiking and nature and water, then you've come to the right place. Niagara Glen is a natural haven! The journey begins with a walk across the park, and down a high metal stairway that takes you down to the gorge some 25-30 meters. Narrow paths leading further then and then, voila! Beauty looks you right in the... More
