There are so many different shops and intriguing store fronts that becon you to enter, in this diverse neighborhood. It's a blend of old and new with restaurants and bakeries for every kind of palate. Have brunch or just coffee in one of the many "outside" cafes. You will not be disappointed.

I really love this area and try to visit it whenever I go to Toronto. Clean, safe, and has tons of personality. Sit in a café or just people watch.

Go early at night - like 6 or so - to get parking in a public lot behind Bloor, or maybe on street if you're lucky. Walk a few blocks to get the feel of this great neighbourhood.

If you want to experience shopping or window shopping or go for dinner or beer in a local Toronto setting, this is the place. Great neighborhood, great crowd, and the beautiful High Park is just a walking distance. Lots of local stores and restaurants and pubs.

I last visited a few days ago, this was the area I've lived in for over 3 years. To be safe, over 3 1/2 years. It got different shops ranging from restaurants, bookstore(s), drugstore(s)/pharmacies,hair salon/barbers, etc.. Excellent!

Sure there are a few nice restaurants, but try walking along Bloor Street on a weekend. Not sure why so many people have to have these monster strollers.

Very European community feel in this neighbourhood. Spent alot of time here from my teen to present and my parents still live here. Sad that Toronto decide to put way too many condominiums on the lake shore in this area, it has ruined the cosy feel of this area by overcrowding it with people.

If we could only get rid of the traffic. Nice little restaurants/coffee stops and good European butcher shops

A nice place to meander when you don't have any concrete plans. The variety of shops are interesting with cafes and restaurants in between. It appeared to be a fairly safe neighborhood.
