When this striking piece of architecture was first opened to the public, it received rave reports -----until the music started. It was such an improvement upon the Massey Hall, Toronto's previous musical slum, and so pleasing to the eye, that everyone forgot it was to serve as the new home for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Mendelssohn Choir. Its... More

I just saw Deepak Chopra speak here the other night- I think I have been here once before for a TIFF event as well. I am not sure how I feel about this venue. It's beautiful, don't get me wrong and the location is fantastic and the staff are great, but I had a hard time the other night hearing... More

The sound is amazing and there is no bad seat. Seats are comfortable, and staff are always friendly and helpful.

Attended a lunchtime concert last Monday and had a brilliant time. The Mendelson Choir was amazing and the seats and acoustics in the hall were just perfect. You can see lots of concrete looking up but once the lights are dimmed you can just relax and enjoy the wonderful music and the organ.

I just saw the Tenors there, and hadn't been in years. The place has held up well, and no matter where you sit, the view and audio is great. Bar is reasonable, and you can take your drinks in with you, and there are enough seats that everyone seemed to be able to sit at intermissions that needed to.

Classy place to enjoy classy music. Likely my favourite venue in TO. I love the round building too. TSO plays here.

Over the years, RTH seems to have gotten better.... perhaps acoustical engineers have tweaked things to make the sound even better. The performances and events vary nicely; whatever I've gone to hear there, whether René Fleming, the Toronto Childrens' Chorus, the Toronto Symphony, The Proms or guest artists, I've always been glad I went. Worthwhile concert venue to visit or... More

We went on Thursday, March 14th for Jackie Evancho's only Toronto performance. She still sings like an angel, although she has grow a few inches, and her face has changed. Well, she will be 13 soon, and puberty has its effects. Hopefully she will keep her strong, clear voice when she is on the other side of puberty. The hall... More
