This is a beautiful theatre! It is a slightly more intimate setting than other theatres in the district. The ceiling garden embellishments make it a fascinating and magical atmosphere - great for kids.

Truly, this is a delightful theatre, and of course was built likely for vaudeville. Pretty well every seat is a good one. Beautifully designed, and reasonably good acoustics. We are fortunate to have this in Toronto!

Thank heavens that the Ontario Heritage Trust, a not-for-profit agency, had had the sense of reviving and rejuvenlating The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre back to its past glory and is still continuing to keep its presence shining brillantly. This magnificently built theatre, the last operating double-decker theatre in the world, is well-worth a visit either taking their guided... More

These theaters, housed in one large restored and very beautiful building, are located directly across from Eaton Center and are super convenient to get to with the subway literally outside the door. Very stunning restoration and excellent venue for all productions!

The last double decker theatre in North America and beautifully preserved. The ambience is so decadent in the Elgin theatre and so ethereal and romantic in the winter garden theatre. Two totally different experiences in the same venue...both equally as wonderful. I frequently attend Opera Atelier performances at the Elgin, and went to see the Nutcracker at the Winter Garden... Enjoyed a show at this theatre. Had a tour during the day and it is just a lovely old theatre that has been refurbished completely. Acoustics are great and worth seeing a show there.

historical theatre in the heart of the entertainment district - 2 theatres in one, elevator service, beautiful building, across from the Eaton Centre so lots of restaurants for before and after, parking in the Eaton Centre, or under Yonge and Dundas Square, very handy by TTC - streetcar and/or subway
