This show space is Montreal's most popular, located right downtown in the "Quartier des spectacles". I had not seen a show there since "Les Misérables" when I was a young girl, so was excited for the opportunity to go see the new Elton John-based ballet "Love Lies Bleeding" performed by the Alberta Ballet. I was not disappointed. The "Salle Wilfred-Pelletier"... More

We have seen Melissa Etheridge, Heart, Wicked and many more shows. The indoor parking is a steal at $10. The seating and the acoustics are perfect. The staff are very attentive. If in a loge bring a small flashlight as there is no in-floor lighting. Check out the outside musical swings in Cartier des Spectacles. Free.

One of the best venues ever ................... the show was magnificent in this hall. Seating, lighting, sound and temperature were perfect. Easy parking, and a a decent price to park ($10) Canadian.

Place des Arts is one of those cultural complexes, like Lincoln Center in NYC that were built in the late 50's and the 60's. Many failed to bring the urban renewal expected but it is neither the cast at Lincoln Center or at Place des Arts where it is mission accomplished. The only problem with Place des Arts is that... Loved this 'place', for the interesting architecture and landscaping. Who would think you'd find a swingset on a sidewalk? Check out the museum of contemporary arts, and the underground passageways.

Beautiful venue! Of course, I wouldn't suggest you take a trip to downtown Montreal just to see the Place des Arts, but if you have a concert or a show to see and it is being held at this venue, that's an added plus! The only thing I will say is that it is not very easy to find concession... More

This is Montreal's opera and ballet theatre of sorts ..it is where the main ballets, operas and serious classical concerts are presented, as well as plays, modern dance, musicals and other genres including circus -- like Cirque Éloize (will return in autumn) and a fantastic recent premiere of Daniele Finzi Pasca's La Verità. The complex itself has been revived and... More

I went to place the arts for another great performance of the Grands Ballets de Montreal. This time they were performing Danz & Toot. If you like modern and/or classic ballet it worth to go and see their performance. The troupe is young and professional. One of Montreal best assets.

This performing arts centre has number of great theatres and an array of great events happening throughout the year. Even if you don't have time to go to a show, it is worth visiting this beautiful space in the middle of the city. As the name implies this place is all about arts. Those who can't go inside can sit... More

Just for laughs festival and Montreal Jazz festival are just 2 of tthe great festivals that come to Place des Arts. The ambiance is amazing during the summer and all year round at the various festivals at this great downtown location. If you're in the city, you have to check it out.
