Due to a rainy day in Quebec, I chose to visit the Musee de la Civilisation. And I didn't regret. A well organised museum with a great diversity makes it an interesting place for a broad audience. The staff was very helpfull and eager to answer any questions I had. The architecture of the building makes it worth a visit... More

Beautiful Moshe Safdie building. Imaginative exhibits. Interactive - very suitable for kids. We went there with our grandsons who enjoyed it thoroughly. A great place to spend two or three hours.

I only visited the Maori exposition, because I didn't get the time. Very impressive, I learnt a lot about this civilisation, and the presentation, guided tour was so interesting. I recommand it to everyone who's into history, culture, language, traditions.

We really enjoyed all of the artifacts on display from the beginning days of Quebec and the amazing sense of history that they got across through both exhibits and video reenactments of the time period when Samuel de Champlain first came to Quebec City. The 3D film that shows in both English and French about Champlain was not only captivating... More

A museum as unique as its location, right on the St. Lawrence river side. The museum is dynamic and offers great exhibitions all year round

There is a permanent section in la musee on the history of Quebec from early times to the present. It is an excellent overview, and you should take a couple of hours just to see it.There are also some temporary displays that are very appealing. GREAT place for a rainy day.

In hindsight I would have spent an extra day in Quebec city just to see everything in this place. It is really big, and at the time of my visit there were at least 4 exhibitions going on - I only managed to see 2 of them and this soaked up almost 4 hours of my day. I saw an... More

this is one of Quebec's best museums. We say the expo on the Maori culture, and the one on playwright Michel Tremblay. Very informative and beautiful visually.

We visited the museum on our most recent trip to Quebec City, and we enjoyed the exhibits. Lots of varied things to see with many ties to Quebec culture and history. It's not massive, so you do not need all day to see it, but at least 2 hours. One thing that did bother me was there were a whole... More
