We absolutely loved our time at Wanuskewin. We brought some friends that came to visit us from England and we had an amazing day. A great display of First Nations Culture. From the gift shop with really unique handcrafted pieces to the restaurant that features amazing food, this place is a must visit. Go on a Saturday to watch come... More

Wanuskewin Heritage Park is a great place to browse the interesting gift shop, or to go for a contemplative meal, and to sit and just absorb the atmosphere of a place where people have come for thousand of years to gather, hunt buffalo and celebrate their culture. But the real magic of Wanuskewin is in its trails where you can... More

I visited this place a number of years ago and took the stroll through the park. Educating and enlightening. The up and down hills may be an issue for some, but plenty of resting spots. Try the Bannock at the cafe.

When my friend came from Los Angeles I thought it would be a place she would enjoy and I was right. We started by seeing the film, looked at the exhibits, ate in the restaurant and then chose the trail that leads down to the river. It was beautiful. There were lots of birds and we did see one deer... More

I had the pleasure of joining in a circle dance with Julian & other fellow visitors after hearing the stories & history of the local natives & how after 20 years to finally show how their culture can be shown & be proud of. Julian spoke of how he was given the head-dress & what all that he wore meant.... More

I have been there several times over the past years and it is really a great place to go! During later summers there are archaeological digs that happen there and they are great experiences. There are good walking trails that they have to offer.

It's a bit harsh to call this place "poor" since I know that big events are held here. During our time here I found the interpretive centre to be average, and the art gallery exhibit in the middle of the building to be lacking information on what the pieces are or their significance. The self-guided tour outside was okay, but... More
