My friend and I visited here while we were staying at the Rainforest Lodge -- it was excellent. The walkway is situated at a high-enough height that we were able to see many birds. More

Give it a plus. Nothing more than an experience but one that suggests how vital our Forests are. This is the only canopy experience in Guyana I believe so make it count. Put it on your itinerary. More

On the trail to Lethem. Serviced by the IntraServ bus, but on the day I was travelling that bus was not scheduled. I had arranged one of the frequent minibuses from Georgetown to stop at the Iwokarama River Lodge and drop me at the driveway to the Atta Lodge, and this prearrangement worked just as it was supposed to do.... Brilliant! Even more remote and felt fully immersed in the jungle. Saw howler monkeys whilst sitting on my bed! Dawn chorus was amazing, and the staff were really friendly and happy to sit up chatting with us. I loved staying here. More

Our birding guide was simply supernatural in his ability to spot and describe birds. The canopy walk way gives you a really unusual perspective on the forest and it's inhabitants. The only draw back for us was that we seemed to arriving when we weren't expected, so there was a little awkwarness at first. However the staff cheerfully served us... More

for many years I yearned to walk the canpoy walkway after seeinga picture of it somewhere. It was worth it. I took two walks, an evening and a morning walk. The food was surprising good, I just had to ask how they knew to not only cook delicious food but present it as well. I was told a popular Bristish... More

A brief, overnight stay allowed us to check birdlife from the walkway in the late afternon and on the "highway" in early morning. The walkway is a short hike through the forest (wheelchairs not advised) to an extensive setup high in the massive trees that anchor the cables. Deck chairs on the platform around a giant tree made us comfortable... More

Pretty much a waste of time. We arrived about 11am a week ago. Nothing to write home about. Also, we were told upon arrival it was better to come either early in the morning (6-7am), or late afternoon (5-6pm). However, when we purchased the tickets (through IwoKrama resort), IwoKrama knew exactly our schedule, and knew we would be arriving at... More

A trip to Guyana that does not include at least one night at Atta Lodge is a missed opportunity. If you are not interested in Birds and Wildlife it is still a great place to experience the "Wilds" with great food, a comfortable bed and the coolest shower ever. If you are interested in birds you could spend lots of... More

The canopy walkway is really cool, and it offers an opportunity to see birds that live in the canopy and are rarely visible from the forest floor. The short hike to it has good signage on the trees, to educate you about native trees. Within the last year, the Atta folks have built lovely rooms with lovely beds, which are... More
