My daughter and I did the factory tour when visiting Canmore last summer. We enjoyed the $5.00 tour just fine. Sure, it is just in the showroom, but they do provide information on mining ammolite and the process of fashioning the stones into jewellery. For $5.00 we thought that it was a fun way to spend 30 minutes or so.... More

Expect good information and background. Reserve judgment as to whether the "factory direct" pricing is really a bargain. It struck us as very retail.

I was expecting a tour of a factory. It is a showroom where they do the cutting, polishing and design on one side. The tour encompasses 2 walls of the showroom and takes 30 to 45 minutes. However, they are the smallest company that is able to mine ammonite and they have very contemporary designs. You can purchase jewelry or... More

We enjoyed seeing these. Located away from the main shopping areas. Staff there was very nice and helpful. Although we didn't get one from them, we would recommend viewing their selection prior to purchasing one. Prices about the same as everywhere else.

They have lots of ammonites both for sale and for viewing. The tour that they offer does cost money and we did not take the tour. We saw ammonites in many stores throughout the rockies, but these were the prettiest and best selection. Prices were all about the same.

We thought that this would be a real factory tour. In reality, you pay 5 dollars a person to listen to them give you a sad tour of the very small store/salesroom/factory. A decent salesperson would have been happy to explain the process for free. Everyone on our tour looked at each other like we were embarrassed to be caught... More

Loved to see all the beautiful items on sale and got to hear a lot of the background of the ammonite factory, I was even lucky enough to meet the owner when I went to collect my Ammolite the following day. Worth visiting !!

Didn't care for the main salesperson (snobby), but I bought a lovely ring there and the prices were reasonable.
