Well worth a visit even if you think you're not that interested in Hepworth or sculpture. The placing of pieces around the garden is excellent. Great introductory talk (free) from an enthusiastic and knowledgeable lady. Worth an hour or two of anyone's time... enjoyed it more than the Tate itself
We really enjoyed the visit to the Barbara Hepworth Museum. You can spend about an hour there as it's quite small and £6 is about right as an admission fee. Excellent sculpture garden right in the centre of St Ives. A good place to get away from the crowds for a while. Peaceful and relaxing and well laid out.

this museum has what the Tate is missing ... it breathes art and beauty and the visitor emerges in the lives of the artist community of St. Ives
We visited the Barbara Hepworth as we do each visit to St Ives and enjoyed it very much, especially, as we were in time for a free talk by a member of staff who was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
We could have listened to her for hours (!) but sadly did not catch her name.
A beautiful setting in the...
