I love this place, especially walking round the headland and looking over to Godrevy Lighthouse. Family holidays started when I was just a few months old and when I left college we moved down to this magical place. Ive since moved back up north but visit my father at least 5 times a year and spend lots of time on...

This is truly the nicest bit of coastline in the UK, travel further on to Godrevy lighthouse then look back at the view. Amazing
Gwithian beach lies within St Ives Bay, which is one of the most wonderful places in the world. From St Ives you have the beautiful sandy beaches of Lelant, Hayle, Gwithian and Godrevy, all backed by dunes with an abundance of flora and fauna. Blue sea and lots of rockpools. Miles of walking, plenty of sunbathing and all sorts of...

Just amazing and photographs can do this wonderful place no justice. Wonderful views and just mile after mile of clean golden sands. This must also be a Surfers Paradise. Do not pass by you must make time to visit here.
One of the most beautiful beaches and pieces of coastline I've ever seen. The sand is so soft and golden. The lighthouse is unbelievable. And you can find a colony of seals with pups over the headland.
Gwithian Towans ....... Just the name conjures up childhood holidays, long sunny days, picnics on the beach (including sand in your sandwiches). Adventures in the sand dunes ..... The Winter is a perfect time to have these amazing beaches to yourself, the thunderous waves made it so exciting, and the wind whipped up and around you, howling like a banshee! Warmly dressed, we found it heavenly.
Stayed in one of the 60's beach chalets overlooking the beach.Views to the lighthouse and to St Ives from the beach. The light was amazing as was the surf and the beach. The surrounding area is remote and unspoilt.
We are lucky to be able to call this our local beach. It has everything you could ask for: a safe life guarded swimming area, rocks to climb across, a light house, rock pools and it is huge.
