Such a beautiful restoration, the abbey is stunning and both the main church and modern chapel at the rear are both simple and serene. The grounds and facilities, shop, cafe, video room are all of a very high standard.

We also took lunch in the restaurant, which offers good value for money. There are gift and souvenir shops and a special shop which sells items from other similar... More

A great suprise to find the food was very good value for money in the cafe. In particular, the home made deserts were outstanding. We would eat there again in the future.

Although undergoing some renovation work this was an impressive place to visit. And it was free as well. Something rare in todays 'money-grabbing' age.

Always love Buckfast Abbey - an oasis of tranquility in a busy word. Tried the cafe the last time there and was very good cake and coffee.
