Loved the pier, we went on the pier both days and sometimes twice - during the day and at night. It had a lovely aytmopshere and we particuarly like that there were deck chairs free of charge. The choice of food and drinks outlets were really good on the pier and at the entrance to the pier.
We love the pier and is a must-do every time we visit Brighton xx A drink in one of the 2 bars and a ride on the end of the pier has become a bit of a ritual!
Only chaos and noise of cars and smog and there is not one attraction such as typical shops that worth a visit or a good restaurant throughout the area a part from old and dirty fish and chips which I suggest to avoid if you love your healthy.

Fish & Chips, Gypsy tellers and typical kiss me quick type attractions... not my cup of tea, and certainly not as good as it could be... it certainly has seen better and more prosperous days.

great arcade just how it should be :). Amusements on the end of the Pier were closed when we went but looked fun.
Have seen pictures etc for many years and finally managed to visit ,walk out on it and just enjoy it. Even had fish and chips in the restaurant which was special. A very cold and windy day with showers but nothing could take away from the day. A must. The rides etc weren't working but that was okay.
Noisy, busy and fun. A great pier with gift shops, eateries and even a large funfair at the end and loads of place to sit and soak up the atmosphere. A must-see to experience a great authentic British-type holiday.
It's free to get onto the pier and walk to the end and back, taking in the view of the sea or the town. Can get very busy with foreign school=age parties.
Lots of places to buy fish & chips; pncakes and crepes; ice cream; and 'tat' souvenirs. Plenty of slot machines and rides at the far end, but watch...
