Just like these funny little railways. Good to save the legs if you've walked out to the Marina and don't fancy walking all the way back into town. The lady driver seemed a bit tense I have to say but we all have bad days

This railway only runs for the summer between the pier and the marina. You can ride the full length or get off half way. It's a great, fun way to get between the 2 places.
Great little railway and a brilliant way to travel if you are staying in the Marina. I just wish it's season was a bit longer. You can get a bag of chips on the pier and scoff them on the way back.
This is a lovely little bit of history, the first ever electric train. It runs from Brighton Pier to beside the Marina. You could walk it in about 15 minutes, but where's the fun in that? Hard wooden bench seats, carriages open to the wind and rain and a bit bumpy. I love these little seaside eccentricities, they're so British!
I've been to Brighton previously but wanted to do some touristy things so we went on the railway. Thought it was a reasonable price for a return. Was a nice little trip down to the marina. Took about 10-15 mins each way.
Real bit of railway history for the Ian Allen fraternity, lots to read up. For the rest of us pure fun. Nice friendly staff and discount for those old enough for a senior railcard. The first train at the Pier station is 1120 and this is the best time of day to travel There is a good coffee stop on...

You could walk but this was fun and if you have been walking around all day then it's a good way to get to the Marina. Very enjoyable.
Cold and wet when we went, but a great way to get to the marina and back, we had a very cheerful driver, not the usual fat controller you find on most tourist attractions.
Had hoped to use the train to get back from the marina but felt that it is overpriced. Shame. Better off walking if you can and stopping along the way to admire the view.
The kids really enjoyed this trip! A great birthday treat for my 5 year old son and his cousin who both love trains.
