we travelled from bedford for a day in st albans and verulamium park, the only complaint is the park isnt very well signposted but when we arrived it was worth it. we walked down to the lake and sauntered round viewing the many birds, and all the newly hatched goslings. after a wonderful spring picnic by the lake we rested...

One of the best parks around, tons of space, perfec in the summer with the family for a picnic or a walk, the lake is gorgeous and there is lots to do. lovely pub and cafe there and you can feed the ducks. there's a kids play area and splash park too. highly recommended
Don't miss a walk around this lovely place! Loved the Roman mosaic which is preserved in a building in the park.
Big park with playground with lots of space to walk. and good for kids; café sells range of food and drink. Ancient Roman city walls are extensive, and park is very pleasantly laid out, only 15 minutes walk from city. Parking available.

Lots for children to do. Lots of space so you are not sitting on top of each other when having a picnic. Could maybe do with more toilets
The Park (the Lake) is always an interesting place to walk round any time of year. Lots of green (or white as its been recently) open space and usual wildlife.
the park is brilliant any time of year - come when it is winter, spring or summer and there's plenty of room to relax, walk, cycle and see wildlife on the lake. Been visiting the park all our lives - never get bored of it!
Park the car in the museum car park ...not expensive to park for the day.
take a walk across the park alongside the water with many ducks and swans
and interesting wild life to look out for. Pass or call at the pub ( interesting building ) up the hill past the Abbey and into the town.
On the way...
