If you visit Canterbury then the Catherdral is a must visit, ok it is 9.50, but it cost £18,000 a day to run. The size and beauty of the building even from the outside takes the breath away, and then inside, I can not put into words, I am not really into the worship thing, but I felt very emotional... More

The Cathedral is a very impressive building set in the very heart of Canterbury. Surrounded by many very old buildings now used by Kings College the whole ambience inside the precincts of the cathedral provides a stunning glimpse of the past, in particular medieval times. From the outside the main impression is of the enormity of the cathedral whilst inside... More

This cathedral truly took my breath away. I have seen many cathedrals throughout Europe but I have to say this cathedral is really something special. The architechture is inspiring and the quire is just beautfiful. The stained glass windows are startling. Totally worth the 9.50 entrance. I spent 2 hours in it. There is a lot to see from the... The cost was £9.50 each so we didn't go in. That's just too much. The rest of Canterbury was ok but nothing special. The shambles type shopping area around the Cathedral is better in York.

Went to Canterbury on Saturday 08/06/13, thought the Cathedral would be one of THE places to visit, when we arrived we were informed that we could not visit a third of the Cathedral, I had no problem with this as I fully appreciate that it is a working Cathedral but when I asked if the price was going to be... Finally visited famous Canterbury Cathedral! I am still full of excitement. Though the day was dull and windy we really made most of it! It's a magnificent building full of history...Canterbury as a town is beautiful as well. You must go and see it, cause the words simply can not describe it!

Marvel at this ancient cathedral where Thomas Beckett was murdered in the 11th Century. This grand church has a great history and it is wonderful to explore!
