Loved our trip here. Wonderful place and great staff. Go down the cells and read about the inmates and stand in the Court - in the Dock of course. Great - really interesting. Liverpool at it's best.

as stated in previous reviews, this place is beautiful inside and it is very interesting the way you can view the old judges chamber and the holding cells in the basement.this building also had the worlds first air conditioning system installed.free too.

The outside of the building is not really beautiful in itself though it's really impressive by its size but I had the opportunity to come inside and it is really magnificient, there are several rooms which are really beautiful ! It's a place not to miss if one is visiting Liverpool.

I believe this is the largest municipal building in western Europe. Definitely worth visiting when the old floor has its covers removed so that you can see the exquisite intricate tiled floor. The history of this building excels in telling stories of a truly great city.

We met with Mr Steve Binns, who gave us a thoroughly interesting history of this magnificent building. The attraction is completely accessible for me as a wheelchair user and found no problems at all. We had a wonderful afternoon tea in the lovely cafe. Thanks very much for a thoroughly enjoyable time.

it is truly a marvellous building. So pleased we are now looking at the tourist centre there and the registry office too. Just wish that somehow that welcome was there when you enter the heritage centre. Not sure how it can be improved due to the age of the building...but it does lack there. However the place itself is fantastic.... More

I never get tired of going here. It's a free attraction, with lots to see. The hall itself is just magnificent....you can gaze at the architecture, tiles, organ, statues etc from a gallery. On occasions they have a "floor reveal" when the fantastic Minton tiles are on show, with glowing colours as if just manufactured. There is a self guided... More

What attraction is free, this one is. You could pay £10.00 on a Thursday for a guided tour, but you don`t miss much without it. Every thing labeled up, informative wall boards. A real look back into history for the criminals, cells, court rooms. very grim. Worth seeing,
