This was an excellent visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the R.B. Kitaj: Obsessions Exhibition but spent lots of time looking at the permanent displays which were beautifully curated. Very effective in reinforcing the history of the Jewish people and the centuries of persecution that they have endured.

Free entry with Art Pass. Educational experience on how the Jews see themselves, and we were lucky just to miss a large school party. Well laid out museum with small shop, cafe, cloakroom, clean toilets. Very enjoyable, but I will have to read for myself elsewhere a more complete history e.g. British and US involvement in Israel and Palestine. We... More

The first floor was designed for a non Jewish audience. It could easily be labeled “Who are the Jews?” Using artifacts and videos, patrons captured a rudimentary understanding of Jewish festivals and customs. The second floor of the museum focused on British Jewry during the last couple of centuries. The exhibit revealed notable similarities with American Jewish history. European Jews... More

This is the second time I have visited the Jewish museum and it didn't disappoint. For those interested in the religious culture and rituals the first floor is full of detail as to how judaism is practiced around the world. On the next floor is a fascinating and beautifully laid out display of the dispersal of Jews throughout the diaspora,... More

Free and in a quiet residential road explains interesting history. Lots of hands on things to do. A large museum that takes about two hours to see.

I have Jewish ancestors who lived both in London and elsewhere in the UK, and had been meaning to visit the Jewish museum in Camden for many years. When I finally had the opportunity I found the staff warm and welcoming, and the museum well worth the wait, despite it being cold and snowy outside. The exhibits describing jewish life and... More

A great place with changing exhibitions and workshops offering an insight into Jewish life in Britain and abroad. Excellent Kosher food in the cafe.

The Jewish Museum is just a few years old, and its beautiful displays combine objects and explanatory videos. Galleries showcase Jewish life and practices, the history of Jews in London, and the Holocaust -- all were fascinating. The museum is located near Camden Market, and well worth a stop for an hour or two if you are planning to check... More

I had purchased a London Pass and wanted to make the most of all the attractions in the short space of time available. Upon arrival, our bags were searched without explanation, and then shown where to go to get tickets. The staff were rude, and the museum had no flow or guide. Wouldn't recommend it at all!
