A nice walk through the gardens with a view of the river and the remains of an ancient monestry. Well worth a walk through. The pub at the other side is very good - The Bay Horse

Had superb weather which makes everything look better but the tulips and flower beds were lovely. It was peaceful and lovely to walk through and sit in.

Our hotel was opposite so went to gardens every day 3 to 4 times a day,and loved to feed the squirells so friendly and come and take right out ur hand

Lovely little garden and ruins of an abbey. It was raining slightly when we were here but it was still lovely to look around. A nice little green space in the center of the city by the minster quarter. I would definitely recommend a look at this beautiful spot.

This was a super place and the weather was fabulous on Monday so there were lots of people in the gardens. Couples on the grass children playing and the flowers are so pretty. This is a really nice place to saunter through at a leisurely pace and just up the atmosphere. I loved it here!

Relax in the Museum gardens on a sunny day, just the place to eat your picnic and what the world go by.

We were staying opposite these gardens so we went through them a lot! Lovely plants and layout. A nice place to sit with a coffee and read your guide book!!

The gardens are great all year round and the kids love feeding the squirrels in winter. Summer draws many more visitors who enjoy picnics on the lawns and there is the Yorkshire museum located in the heart of the gardens for those who like to take in a little of York's history.
