ice cream van, lovely surroundings, pub nearby. Less than 10 mins from city centre, Roundhay is home to beautiful gardens, tropical world, playgrounds, ducks and plenty of places to walk and get lost! What more can you ask for?
this place is great for a walk out ,quite a lot of dogs off the leads but other than that its fine, the café is lovely!
Great that you can still go somewhere that is still FREE. Most places find some way to charge you but even the parking is free. My little boy loved playing in the park and it was a great place for us all to have a ice cream and a walk
Having visited Tropical World with my 3 year old Granddaughter on a beautiful sunny Sunday, it was a natural progression to visit Roundhay Park. We weren't disappointed. It was full of families enjoying precious time together, though in a park of this scale, it was not at all cramped. We played football on the vast open spaces, ate our picnic...

We went for a family day out with my husband's elderly gran. Definitely a place for the whole family. Such a big place with plenty to do around. Perfect for a picnic. We will definitely be returning
A little gem just minutes from the centre of Leeds. Lovely gentle walks with good paths, lakeside and woodland views. Playgrounds for children and lots of photo opportunities for the adults.Lakeside cafe is great but be prepared for a larger than normal bill for cafe food.
I was surprised at the size of the park, it makes for a lovely walk on a warm summers day! There's 2 lakes which lots of ducks, geese, moorhens, swans and coots; at the moment there's some babies to be seen too. Perfect for visiting with friends, family, partners or children.
Great expanse and perfect for walks. A couple of lakes and a relaxed beautiful area on a sunny day, which I had.
One of the nicest parks in the area and a decent enough size too. Nice children's park area, though could be bigger as is often heaving. Haven't eaten at the cafe but the traditional ice cream on sale at the booth is delicious. Well worth a visit.
