Interesting house with helpful guides to tell you about it. Wonderful collection of old glasses. Small walled garden and a good cup of coffee.

We stayed in the Landmark Trust flat on the top floor. Terrific views of the cathedral. The flat itself is comfortable, ultra-convenient; being a Landmark, it has its little quirks, but we're used to those. Warning: 52 steps from ground level to the flat.

Military Museum in a historuic building that once housed the servants and clothes of visiting Kings in the city. The local regiment- The Willtshire Regiment now also including after amalgamation a couple more regimental historys. Hreat stuff for all military buffs and small boys.

Beautiful gardens going down to the river and small but interesting military museum. Very pleasant restaurant in the grounds and meeting rooms to hire.

The Museum contains a huge amount of artifacts from the Rifles history. The items are clearly labelled a you travel through chronologically. The museum is bigger than it looks. Interesting and thought provoking. The Regimental history was excellent - our grandfather was in the Royal Berkshires in the First World War so doubly interesting to us.

This was the venue for my sons wedding reception. On a great July Saturday. Museum was a bonus and could have been quite distracting, returned recently. Excellent
