It's nice having such a big green space so close to town but there are much nicer places to be if you want to sit in a garden. Feels a bit like sitting in a field!
I've been walking through this park every morning and afternoon on my way to the city centre now for two days and it's so refreshing. Large open areas and big old trees. It's also very close to the city centre.
The Meadows is gorgeous. A surprising size park very close to the City of Edinburgh. Have seen it in all its seasons and it always looks nicely kept, beautiful in the spring and summer ...
Walking your dog(s) around The Meadows, you will meet many local dog owners all of whom have friendly, sociable dogs. It is mostly wide lawned spaces, but the paths are lined with trees. Across the road, you enter Bruntsfield Links which depending on the time year, you might have to contend with golfers.
usally something on here during summer months espc at festival time, or why not just have a wee picnic here... lots of great & famous pubs dotted along borders...............

You know the type, the straw hat brigade! This place has had its fair share of problems too. Mainly at night, muggings, and the odd rape, so best to... More

I just love this place. It is so green, with lots of peoples running and cycling in the morning, evening and even at night. I enjoyed my walk through this park, it is so peaceful and relaxing. Even if you are on your own, you will enjoy walking here among the locals especially the students that make their ways to... More
